“PART OF THE WEEKEND NEVER DIES”

Belgium dance-rock collective Soulwax, the live incarnation of brothers David and Stephen Dewaele plus friends Stefaan Van Leuven and Steve Slingeneyer, will release a documentary Part of the Weekend Never Dies on DVD this summer.

Filmed by Saam Farahmand, the documentary includes behind the scenes footage of the group plus interviews and snippets of indie/rock dance hybrids James Murphy, Nancy Whang, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches and Klaxons.

“Where the Beastie Boys filmed one gig with 50 cameras, we filmed 120 shows with one camera in Europe, Japan, US, Latin America and Australia,” says the band. In addition to the documentary, a second film of live concert footage from their Soulwax Nite Versions tour was also made.
