Avant garde fashion designers BOUDICCA mesh visual art, myth, street culture and sensual scent with Wode, the first ever visible “art fragrance”.
Inspired by the striking blue war paint donned by the label’s legendary namesake, Welsh Queen Boudicca and her legions, each spritz of Wode releases a cobalt blue mist that stains the wearer’s skin and clothes before dissipating on its own accord. Wode opens with herbal spicy notes and conceals enigmatic elements like black hemlock extract (Queen Boudicca’s suicide weapon of choice) and the heady smell of raw opium.
Not just an olfactory sensation, Wode also pays homage to Graffiti artists across the globe with a very witty choice of packaging: a classic spray can embellished with an engraved steel label and braided ribbon in true BOUDICCA style.
An ingenious virtual coffee table photo book featuring Wode-inspired graffiti artwork may be viewed here.
Wode by Boudicca comes in two versions: Wode Paint and Wode Scent; the latter being the colourless version for the less adventurous. Both are available for online purchase ate Boudicca’s website.
