Our favourite Lapsap boys are hosting Streething’s favourite Bangkok DJ - Knatz (Dudesweet) this coming satuarday at Barsonic, Zouk KL. Expect a night of electro, mashed-up, indie and disco fun from the boys. See you there!

DJ Knatz vs Lapsap will start at 10.30pm on December 20th at Barsonic, Zouk KL, 113 Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Admission for non-members is RM20 for girls and RM30 for guys (Inclusive of one drink, whilst Barsonic Facebook Group members get in for free before 11pm.

Visit GreenHouse by Joost, a temporary pop-up exhibition at Melbourne’s Federation Square from the 29th of October 2008 until the 29th of January 2009.

Built entirely from recycled and reused materials, the folks at Greenhouse will be dishing up some interesting degustation fare in the likes of tiny ‘taste-tubes’, served up by vintage clad waiters using old shopping trolleys to double up as serving trays.

The Greenhouse, brain-child of waste wizard, Joost Bakker sends the idea of how even the simplest things can turn into treasure. Ideally, it hopes to send the message and garner awareness amongst the public about the simplicity of sustainability practice.

To prove their point, they’ve came up with some pretty mind-blowing recycled artwork from their floors made from deconstructed shipping crates, chairs of reclaimed street signs and feature wall of wild strawberry plant. Do drop by if you happen to be in the neighbourhood, not something you want to be missing out on.

After being delayed for two months, The Loft’s much anticipated spiritual successor Barsonic is set to open up for business this December. First thing, cover charge dodgers beware - unlike the usual Twilight Action Girl Friday Night’s of yore, there will be no more guestlists or free entry before midnight. Yep, no more arriving at 1am and calling up everyone you know to try and pull some strings.

However, the guys in charge aren’t as stupid as to stick two fingers up at the loyal crowd that made the joint THE party to be at. Now you’re eligible for permanent free entry ONLY by joining the Barsonic Facebook Group. There’s some terms and conditions, which some may find annoying, but hey - it’s either that or stump up for the cover charge …

Technical details out the way, Barsonic is not only much physically larger than The Loft was, but it’s also aiming to make the whole indie night movement bigger and badder than it was before. Apart from the staple Friday TAG nights, the Lapsap crew will now be having two resident night’s a month. One which they’ll be spinning themselves, and the other being Lapsap & Co Presents, which will see them bringing down the hottest acts from around and about.

Better sign up quick, as the TAG boys will be kicking things off at 10pm on December 6th!

Also, look out for Lapsap to launch their resident night at Barsonic on December 13th with a surprise act all the way from the UK, whilst the first Lapsap & Co Presents will be held on December 20th and will feature Bangkok’s finest, DJ Knatz!

We could have blame the delayed announcement of this not-to-be-missed Live Fresh Street Party @ Haji Lane on *ahem* the constant inefficiencies riddled by our beloved non-conforming network provider. But the truth is we were caught up plotting a secret plan to bring you a bigger and better www.femmething.com. Still, there shouldn’t be any excuses at all. Guilty as charged- we got a little too carried away, our mind wandered off with crazy ideas, we overlooked Live Fresh street party’s incoming e-blaster which we shouldn’t have.
