Gap has commissioned renowned Paris boutique colette to create a special one-month installation in Gap’s rotating concept store adjacent to the New York City flagship store at 54th and 5th Avenue. This exciting endeavor marks the first colette store in the United States, making the brand’s sought-after items available to U.S. consumers for the first time ever. Similar to the Parisian store, colette x Gap store will offer a mix of hard-to-find products from around the world and cater to an ever-evolving mix of genres and tastes alike.

In Proust’s “Remembrance of Things Past”, Bergotte mused on a “little patch of yellow wall”. And what color do we ponder here at Gap? Grey, naturally. The signature grey jersey has become an emblem for Gap. A flag hoisted by an entire generation, an iconic fabric for the über-urbanites who live their dreams and desires on city sidewalks. For this special line signed colette x Gap, several French brands have covered their favorite products with a layer of Gap’s famous grey jersey.
Other pieces which we took notice are the customized key chain with miniature GAP signature jackets with a French touch. These items are done by renowned designer Ann Marie Herckes. We are expecting more collaboration products yet to be unveiled. Stay tune!
This range of exclusive colette x Gap products will simultaneously go on sale in colette’s newly renovated store at 213 rue Saint-Honoré 75001 Paris and 54th x 5th Avenue New York City.
