I bet many of you cellphone users are aware of the affect of radiation to our health. So what YUBZ did was they reinvented the old telephone handsets into adorable looking handsets for your cellphones. Available in assorted colours and artist series, these would make Alexander Graham Bell proud.
These are the latest collaboration between female streetwear label Hellz Bellz and Casio. Using the classic Baby-G platform, it is much smaller compared to their brother G-Shock. Both designs uses bright colours and playful elements, very much like an 80’s inspired design. I saw these babies during the previous Shock the World Tour in Kuala Lumpur.

Not only the man works for Louis Vuitton, butTakashi Murakamialso show host on Tokyo FM’s “FM Art Dojo” talk show. To celebrate Tokyo FM’s 40th Anniversary, Murakami and G-Shock collaborated creating a one of a kind pink translucent-like limited edition Frogman. Turning the divers watch into pink with some added Murakami features, “the back casing has been engraved with the iconic smiley flower, and the limited edition Frogman comes packaged in a special matching pink box, sitting atop the flower pillow.” Only 300 pieces are made available.
Head Porter recently released a new collection of bags and accessories called the “Mirage”. Shiny Scarlett Red patent leather looking material with a zebra print liner, the collection of backpacks, bags, pouches and wallets is now available at Head Porter.

As many of you ladies know, Swatch has indeed worked with many artist and fashion designers. As posted previously, the Swatch & Art Collection worked with many renowned artists like Enki Bilal, Ivan Navarro, Manish Arora and Cassette Playa (featured earlier).
Chile bornIvan Navarro uses alot of fluorescent lights and mirrors which creates effects of infinite reflection. “His works offer a meditation on themes such as death and disappearance, resistance and persistence through memory. A widely admired and prolific artist, his work was on prominent display at the most recent Venice Biennale (2009).”
Not forgetting our beloved London borned Miss Carrie Munden. “Her future designs translate sci fi dreams to graphic prints and luxury street and sportswear. Nominated for British Menswear designer of the year, Munden carries her name and colourful clothing to the trendiest boutiques in the world’s top fashion cities.”
Belgrad boy Enki Bilal is best known for his graphic novels and short stories for adults including the Nikipol trilogy, which took ten years to complete, and the Hatzfeld series of four books dealing with the break-up of Yugoslavia. He has also won broad acclaim as a film director.
Last, our Asian Indian artist Manish Aroraknown for working with high-contrast colours and Indian inspired shapes. “For Swatch he has created the Manish Arora Collection, and to the Swatch & Art Collection he contributes an exuberant example of his irrepressible creative spirit.”
Dutch artistParra recently imprinted some of his weird fancy looking creature onto some handmade tote bags by Daver. What’s special about it is the graphic are not fully frontal, meaning the graphics are somewhat hidden with only partial of the image. Pretty cute huh?!
To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Japan select store atmos collaborates with Casio creating a multicoloured G-Shock DW 5600. “Yellow, pink and blue are used in an asymmetric design on the face of the watch, and the LED back light displays the atmos logo in red over green. Other than that, the watch is kept simple in black casing, star printed wrist band and silver buckles. To add a little more exclusivity to the limited edition, serial numbers have been laser etched on the back casing under neath the atmos logo.”
atmos X G-Shock will be available for pre-order online at the atmos online store from 5th July and the launch is said to be scheduled around late August.
