Our girls from Hellz Bellz never fail to impress us…

Fresh is their latest fall 2010 collection called the “The Rest Is Herstory”. The collection draws inspiration from “revenge and exploitation films such as ‘Lady Snowblood’ and ‘Thriller,’ the collection makes use of a dark color palette to embody the mood and feel of both films.” I love the name of the collection itself. With an empowering name comes mostly black and white pieces with textures , silhouettes includes leather, trims and details.

“Key pieces in the range are pieces like the ‘Alice,’ a fitted blazer with exaggerated shoulders and back ruffle detail inspired by anti-heroines who display great strength and confidence while maintaining beauty and grace and the ‘Wonderland, ‘ a fine cotton jersey printed tunic with metal hooks and eye trims.”

Love the pictures and most definitely love the pieces!!!

Henry Holland recently worked with Roxy on a collection of skiwear which is set to be released in October. Influence of the UK born designer is clearly seen on the fresh 15 piece collection. My personal opinion, it definitely looks amazing.

Christian-Dior-Shanghai-Dreamers-Quentin-Shih-3-600x600

Christian Dior has once again collaborated with Chinese photographer Quentin Shih for the reopening of the Dior boutique in Shanghai.  These beautiful images will then display in the boutique windows.  We find the images beautifully fused with a mix of western and eastern cultures also with a hint of the Chinese mass culture.  Now, enjoy Shanghai Dreamers.

Femmething decided to celebrate and revive Ziggy Stardust this month.  An icon who is irreplaceable, unconventional, most iconic, most Avant Garde and most mesmerizing out of all the personas of David Bowie‘s to date.

Ziggy Stardust is created by Bowie’s own imagination.  Led by his manager, Tony DeFries; he believed that an artist must look and act like he or she already is one.  This somehow still applies today, just take one good look at Lagy Gaga.  That is when Bowie met Japanese fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto, soon an affinity began to blossom.  Kansai created numerous sexless, theatrical outfits for Bowie since then with the mix of sci-fi and classical kabuki theatre during the Stardust time.

We are glad that we were able to witness such legendary moment in music and fashion.  It is hard to even identify such icon in our modern days.  What’s done been done.  David Bowie definitely has flair or rather Ziggy Stardust.
