FTBC

2008 marks the 10th successful year of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) in Australia. To commemorate this milestone, FTBC has launched an inspiring campaign shot by acclaimed photographer Juliet Taylor, featuring model-of-the-moment Louise van de Vorst in a stunning gown made of pattern makers paper created specifically by one of the Australia top fashion talents Akira Isogawa for the campaign which highlights the concept of deconstruction of FTBC going back to its fashion basics, a symbolization of “work-in-progress” as it moves into a new phase of FTBC launching in 2009.

The campaign is aimed at young women, with approximately 10 per cent of all breast cancer occurring in women under the age of 45. “The FTBC campaign has been extremely successful in raising funds for breast cancer research,” says Sue Murray, CEO of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
