To commemorate one of the most influential designers, Alexander McQueen, Hellz Bellz created a one-of-a-kind honorary tee. Sold at Hellz online store, a portion of the proceeds goes to “What Ever It Takes” organization which McQueen previously did a custom tee for. “What Ever It Takes” promotes leadership in encouraging young influential characters in this generation in taking positive action in the evolving awareness of poverty and environmental degradation.”

The “Long Live McQueen” tee was due for the Fall 2010 collection but because of the sudden loss of our beloved Mcqueen, Hellz showed their condolences and released it earlier in memory of him.

Vans Japan recently worked together with Fuji building a custom track bike for the fixed gear community in Japan.  The bike comes in matte black with pink accents all over. Vans also worked with Resistant making a bike messenger bag to suit the bike. The messenger has a black canvas upper, white bottom with matching pink lining.

Gin & Jacqie is working with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association in a charity event helping to create more awareness towards breast cancer. The Gin & Jacqie Breast Cancer Awareness Bag Print Design Contest 2009 is open to all Malaysians from 5 years old and above. Each artwork should be with regards to breast cancer. So do your part, send your message through by helping women realise and educate about breast cancer. The winner’s artwork will be printed on a canvas bag and all proceeds will be donated to BCWA.

Closing dates for artworks is on the 30^th June 09.

Through their “Designer Invitation Project”, Japanese brand UNIQLO has previously collaborated with designers like Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang and Alice Roi. Now, it has been revealed that Jil Sander will be working with UNIQLO on a range of products that will be released in the Fall season of this year. The pairing of the minimalist Japanese casualwear brand and the minimalist German fashion designer will definitely be of interest to many, hopefully the soon-to-be-open store in Singapore will carry the new line.

The first UNIQLO store in South East Asia is scheduled to open on April 9, 2009, at Tampines 1 mall, Singapore.
