Perhaps after Alexander McQueen, the only one who will do anything for fashion should be Mr.Lagerfeld.  He breathes fashion, talks fashion, now he melts fashion with bringing in real ice berg from Sweden for the Chanel Autumn Winter 2010/11 Collection show in Paris two days ago.  Definitely a Chanel way of starting the fall.  But to use real iceberg in a global warming world like now?  Hmm… …

Oh, here comes the Flintstones!  Not exactly the cartoons, but the wacky designer Jeremy Scott’s range for adidas SLVR collection.  Seen in his recent Flintstones inspired runway show, you might thought these ‘Bone Heels’ are for his main line.  How we love ‘em heels, but these heels are made actually for adidas SLVR line.  It might sound unbelievable, an adidas heels with bone?  Yes, they are real and they are rare.  That is why they are so limited.  So limited that there are only four pairs – two in magenta and two in black available in Singapore exclusively at Front Row.  Okay, start dashing like Bamm-Bamm now!

We don’t really know what is the connection behind the collaboration of Fred Perry and Amy Winehouse but she is to produce a line of actual wearable clothing for the brand.  It will hit stores in October but if you are having doubts about her designs, think again.  She is that vintage looking pin up kind of girl so we are actually expecting some really nice vintage inspired designs.  We will see.

To celebrate a very special 75th birthday to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Independence Day this year, Shepard Fairey came up with a limited edition print tee shirt of His Holiness based on the image taken by renowned photographer/documentarian Don Farber.   Only 500 pieces are produced and net proceeds will be divided between Tibet House and LA Friends of Tibet.

The cool innovative coil lamp of Craighton Berman definitely caught our attention.  The simple chic lamp using just a single electrical cord coils and wrapped a laser cut clear acrylic form and power by a single light bulb. It transforms the humble status of the extension cord into a high fashion chic lamp in just minutes.  How wonderful.

Have you ever heard of a “Coat Hanger tribute” to an airport?  No? Yes?  Well, Kolja Clemens sure loves Tempelhof airport in Berlin a lot.  One year after the airport closed down, The Wardrobe Tempelholf came into existence by Kolja Clemens for furniture brand Mom.  The hangers are made by the same material – aluminum and share the same shape of the legendary C-47.  Perhaps Kolja Clemens is a big fan of planes; if not, the Tempelholf Airport sure marked an importance in Kolja’s heart.
